Aviation Security Cargo Training - Regulated Agent:

‘Plane Training - in partnership with Gatehouse Consultancy and Training - delivers Aviation Security Cargo Training to Regulated Agents and any linked business that would require this training as a mandatory requirement by the CAA. Our classroom based courses are a very effective way to ensure that delegates learn and understand the responsibilities linked to their everyday job. Interactive and dynamic, our courses can cover any of the required different levels listed below:


CASP - Cargo Aviation Security Principles - Persons requiring general security awareness - e.g. cargo admin staff.
CO - Cargo Operative - Persons Implementing security controls for air cargo - e.g. cargo handlers/drivers.
COS - Cargo Operative Screening - e.g. those implementing screening of air cargo/mail. 
CS - Cargo Supervisor. 
CM - Cargo Manager.

 

This training is delivered by DfT UK CAA accredited Instructors and follows ICAO guidelines and the Department for Transport’s National Aviation Security Training Programme syllabus.

The aim of the above courses are to ensure that delegates:

* Understand the threat to aviation security

* Appreciate the security measures currently in place

* Understand principles of cargo security

* React to suspicious circumstances/threat warnings

* Recognise firearms and explosives

* Identify different methods of concealment 

* Understand how to make cargo secure

'Plane Training delivers Initial and Refresher courses for all of the above levels.

Accreditation: all delegates will need to pass a written assessment to achieve a pass for these courses.

Certification: upon successful completion of the assessment, a certificate will be issued.

Refresher training and Validity: a refresher training course needs to be attended within the 24 month period (there are some exceptions).

Pre-requisites: to comply - in accordance with EU Regulation 185/2010 article 11.1.5 and the UK Department for Transport - all delegates attending Aviation Security training must have completed security and background checks prior to attending the course. Written confirmation would be required prior to the commencement of the training course.
