Mike joined 'Plane Training after working for Amadeus in Madrid and Sophia Antipolis for 18 years - during the last 13 he worked as a trainer in various different areas where his official title was 'Senior Training Specialist' (Marketing/Customer Support).
He was responsible for producing and delivering training globally to clients for all travel industry sectors. This included training on all aspects of reservations procedures, ticket issuance and re-issuance, pricing, fares, car and hotel bookings, and ancillary services.
Special projects Mike worked on included:
Delivering certification courses to top level trainers of multinational corporate companies and Amadeus partners and subsidiaries globally.
Pre-migration reviews and specialised training for new system user airlines, including British Airways, Qantas, Malev, Tarom, LOT, South African Airways, Egyptair, Kenya Airways and KLM.
Induction training for company and industry newcomers, providing an overview of the travel industry, its structure, terminology, and procedures.
Cutover training and post cutover support for major airlines including British Airways, SAA, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Qantas.
Support and training to wholesalers travel companies and airlines for a range of negotiated ATPCO, net remit, and IT fares.
